There a couple basic tips and terms you should know before making your own web page. You may have heard the word SERVER a lot. A server is the online service in which you run your pages through in order to publish them to the world wide web. My server for example is IceStorm. IceStorm is a free server meaning that I dont have to pay a charge for using them as my server. Also, before you start you need to have some type of PAGE EDITOR. I personally use FRONT PAGE EXPRESS, and it has worked vary well for me and is farily easy, and very user-friendly. You can check to see if you have this by going to your Start Bar: Programs: Internet Explorer, then look and see if you have something called FRONT PAGE EXPRESS. If you do not have an Editor then you need to find one before you start creating your pages. Also before starting your web page you need to understand how everything works. Here is an outline of how you create your own web. Outline First you get a server, this can be done by searching for them, of you can use the one through IceStorm - roccommended -. Next you need to make a folder in your C drive called something like "yourname's Web". Next you need to open up your Editor (Front Page Express.. etc.). From there you create new pages - each page you create will be a different page on your web site - and save them into that new folder you just made in your C drive. After this you should log into your server (ex. Stormloader for IceStorm) and then upload the files you just created in the editor up onto the directory in your server. This is done by scrolling down the page until you see a blank spaces with the word BROWSE next to them. Click on the browse button and then open up the file you just created. Once this is done click on the "upload" button and the files will be uploaded/updated. This is a very brief explanation of how you create a web page.
