These
are all describing how far someone was able to
turn around on a jump. The 180 is the easiest and
you can work your way up. |

The
amount of height a person gets on their jump. If
it is a large jump just then they got "big
air". |

| Bindings |
These
are the little guys that strap your feet to your
board. You gotta have these if you are wanting to
get up to the mountain. There are also newer
types of these bindigns called "click

These

| Click
Ins |
These
are the newest of the Binding family in which all
it takes to get straped in is to step down on the
board, like a ski. They are good if you are
looking to save time strapping in so you can get
some more boarding in. |

| Grab |
This
is when a boarder - while in mid-air - makes a
grab anywhere on his or her board. There are
different names depending on the area in which he
or she grabed the board, and how they do it. |

| Halfpipe |
This
is a semi-circle carved in the snow in which
boarders ride up and down on each side hitting
jumps off each side which is known as the LIP. |

| Hash |
This
is SNOW, there are so many names used to describe
snow thats its hard to keep up with them. I am
only naming a few. |

| Lift |
I
think everyone knows what this is. This is the
chair that takes you up the mountain. A.k.a. ski
lift. |

| Lip |
The
lip is the rim along the top of a halfpipe. |

| Mashed
Potatoes |
This
is a term used when the snow is not very smooth,
instead it is lumpy like "mased
potatoes" |

| Phat |
This
is another word snowboarders tend to use to say
to something that is good. If something is PHAT
it is sweet! |

| Powder |
I
think we all know what powder is. It's a
snowboarders dream. It is some sweet snow that is
extremely light and fluffy, making any day look
up. |

| Rush |
A
rush is an extremely good time condensed into a
few minutes. |

| Stoked |
To
be extremly excited, like when you very first
arrive at the mountain and all is good. |

| Verticle
(vert) |
The
vert is the verticle page of a halfpipe. Without
this part the boarder wouldn't be able to stay in
the halfpipe and perform some tricks. |
